New NHL Uniforms For Defunct (NHL) Teams

A crazy, crazy designer had a nuts idea: why not design complete uniforms for NHL teams (home, away and alternate third jerseys for all!) that no longer exist, whether they folded, moved  or whatever. He covers most of them (apart from the Minnesota North Stars, Atlanta Flames and perhaps another, but I think it's because their namesakes are still active).

Some ideas are bold, others are brilliant, and the only ones that miss the boat a little are because they look too much like current NHL jerseys - two that look like the Washington Capitals (Brooklyn Americans and St-Louis Eagles) and two that steal the Buffalo Sabres' 90s look (Pittsburgh Pirates, Hamilton Tigers).

The complete series is here, in message board form, spread over 18 pages, with explanations as to how the creation process went and replies from that message board's users. Some of which are trolls.

Or, if you just want to see the art, and perhaps understand French, my friend Martin Itfor went all-out and arranged them for you, in an easy-to-read format.
